Gilead chosen by Erlinda is the book for May.
We thought that Friday 30th May, same time, same place would give everyone enough time to get down to reading the whole book.
I hope you can all make it this time.
Next Chat: 29th March. Time: 18hrs. Place: To be decided but probably Port Issol in the bar overlooking the bay.
We have chosen two books to read over the next two months, I am not sure in which order they are to be read but I surmise that first book will be
A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini
followed by
Shutter Island by Dennis Lehane

The next meeting has been penciled in for Friday 19th October, same time, same place.
As not all of us have managed to read all of the Harry Potter books, we have elected in the meantime to read the following book.
The No.1 Ladies Detective Agency by Alexander McCall Smith
Obviously the conversation is open and we can deviate to talk about other topic's , even Harry Potter, however one must bear in mind to omit giving away the story line for those who haven't yet reached the final installment.

Our initial goal for the summer 2007 was to read Harry Potter 7 in English, crirtic/ analyze and maybe disagree using good-natured raillery.
However things never go quite to plan......So we improvised
The first meeting was somewhat hampered by the impending rugby world cup match between France and Ireland which took place the same evening, yet we were all able to delve a little into why J K Rawling's books have become so popular all over the world.
