To finish off our first year on a high note, we have decided to picnic on Portissol beach and discuss everything American while eating good food and enjoying good company.

Three new friends came along tonight which was great for us all. We hope you will all be back at the end of January to talk about Doris Lessing (book to still be decided).

The Dumb Waiter kindled a lively discussion between us all. Everyone's views were thought provoking and inspiring.

What isn't said in Pinter plays, the absurdity in the acts, the positions of characters (victim verses victor), interpretation of this play  like a work of modern art,  were all cases in point.

As for Bernard Marie Koltés, I, myself had difficulty getting into this play.  I suppose I thought it was going to be of the same style as Pinter, however that wasn't to be the case.  When I have finished the book (yes yes I am still reading it) I will post my views.
